Lover's Lane Bridge Replacement

Located within the Doan Brook Watershed of Shaker Heights, a new pedestrian bridge was needed that complemented the park setting of the Shaker Lakes area. An old automobile bridge was removed and replaced with a pedestrian scale footbridge suitable for walking and biking activity. The railings were detailed to be skeletal in nature, sympathetic with the historic stonework of the existing abutment, and code compliant. Improvements to the approach, vehicle parking, lighting and plantings were recommended.
