Chagrin Boulevard / Lee RoadShaker Town Center is the commercial heart of the City of Shaker Heights. Planning for better circulation and a more viable mix of retailers led to streetscape improvements in the district. Working with City Architecture, McKnight Associates was responsible for the design of plantings and furnishings. A public art installation by artist Stephen Manka features sandstone blocks with carved images that recall the memory of the historic Shaker Community originally located near the site. The planting design features perennials flowers, ornamental grasses, shrubs and trees. |
