University of Akron – Outdoor Living RoomAs a key component in an aggressive campaign to transform the landscape of the campus, the Outdoor Living Room will serve as the central outdoor student gathering area. A series of low walls will march down the hillside at the central core, framing fountains and an open event plaza below. Open space areas to the east and west will allow for informal play and relaxation as well as gathering. Brick columns will define spaces and monumental stone tables will provide additional gathering opportunities. |
