Greenspace at Zone Recreation CenterLocated in Cleveland’s EcoVillage, the Greenspace integrates an environmentally sound approach to educational open spaces balanced with an active recreation program. Extensive community input helped develop the plan. Stormwater conservation techniques such as rain gardens and biofiltration swales weave through the ballfields and court areas to contain stormwater on site. Artist Stephen Manka collaborated to integrate public art into all aspects of site design. Davey Resource Group provided natural systems expertise. American Society of Landscape Architects - Ohio Chapter Honor Award 2006. |
